Shinnston native April Lanham Rigsby has won the City of Lewisburg’s "Coolest Small Town in America" logo contest.
Rigsby's winning design was chosen by a seven member citizen panel from eleven entries. It was unveiled at the Greenbrier Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau in Lewisburg Friday, May 6.
Her winning design shows a cityscape image depicting the true façade of downtown Lewisburg. The design will be used or featured on city signs, street lamp post banners, t-shirts and other city wide needs.
Lewisburg Mayor John Manchester presented Rigsby with a gift basket, valued at $250, filled with items donated by local merchants.
April Lanham Rigsby, a 1996 Lincoln High School graduate, is the Creative Specialist for Snowball Digital Relations in Beckley. She takes pride in her rural upbringing in the hills of Harrison County and her God given talent – the art of design.
Her eye for design has been recognized by Fairmont State University, Dow Chemicals, Charleston Gazette, The Register Herald and presently with Snowball Digital Relations and The Resort at Glade Springs.
Her inspiration for Lewisburg’s new found title: “Coolest Small Town in America”, was evident.
It derived from the state’s natural beauty, nestled in the heart of The Appalachian Mountains... with a small town feel.
